ZOOM Collaborative Workshop

GOING WILD with COLOR
This Workshop will consist of six, 2 hour long Zoom calls.
These Zoom calls will be three weeks apart to allow time for students to make their work.
Calls will be recorded and will be available for unlimited streaming on Vimeo the next day.
There are two ways to take this Workshop -
1. Attend the Zoom Calls and receive Lifetime Streaming of the Workshop on Vimeo
( Live Zoom call space is limited to 20 students)
2. Lifetime Streaming of the Workshop Only
( you can enroll anytime and have access to all the videos, no limits )
You can opt into any of the live Zoom calls if you have questions about the process.
All enrolled Students will given a password for Lifetime Vimeo access to the videos. I expect students to keep their password private. Vimeo is a video sharing platform that is free for you to access.
If you enroll for the live Zoom option, you will be asked for a best day of the week and a best time of day for the Zoom Call. I will then try to arrange the schedule to benefit the most students.
GOING WILD with COLOR -
This workshop will focus on creatively expanding your color choices and color placement in your work. To do this we are going to narrow our focus to the most basic pattern of canes – stripes.
Students will begin by choosing their basic colors. They will create two or more Skinner blends of these colors.
Chris will present and discuss dozens of color placement options. Students will discuss their ideas and options , then use their own blends to produce a wide variety of multi-colored canes.
We will adapt and build on each other’s ideas to come to a new appreciation of all the hundreds of choices we can make in creating these simple canes.
Then we will switch gears to create unexpected canes from these stripes.
Finally, we will build a large cane using some of the new canes we have made.
At the end of the class you will have at least 2 large canes to work with. Future Workshops will focus on using these canes in your work.
Collaboration is key to this workshop. We will all be building on each other’s ideas and no doubt, making some excellent “mistakes”.
Students do not have to keep up with the class work wise, but I encourage you to keep attending the calls and participating. Your input in this process is valuable even if you cannot share your work right then.
Since sessions will be recorded and the series will be sold, all Zoom students will have to sign/agree to a release for appearing in the video. Students do not have to use their live image on Zoom if they prefer.
ALL Students will have Lifetime access to stream all the classes on Vimeo anytime.
TO GET THE MOST VALUE FROM THE WORKSHOP
1. Watch Free first lesson of Beginner Workshop
2. Know how to make Skinner Blends by watching Video #2 of my Beginner Workshop or read my Free website tutorial. I will not be teaching basic skills.
3. Have at least 3 basic colors of clay and some black or colored slip.
WORKSHOP FEE : $300
To join in on the Zoom calls you must enroll before the first class. This option is limited to 20 students. You also get Lifetime streaming of the sessions afterwards.
You can enroll in the Workshop at any time to get Lifetime Streaming of ALL recorded sessions.
During the live Workshop, Chris will schedule a limited number of Zoom calls to answer questions from Lifetime streaming students.
