'Nautilus Imperfect'
Porcelain attracts with its luminous beauty and punishes with its prickly personality. This series of work was designed to celebrate every aspect of porcelain whether planned or altered by the air or the fire. Mixed into the clay are shards from my past work while the design of the Nautilus is custom colored porcelain. These pieces were designed and shaped by the artist but as ever the results are dictated by the clay.
