Blogs ... & Life its own self

All play and not much work ...

February is zooming by faster than I can keep up with it. I have bisque fired two loads of my new experimental work  but now it is time to buckle down and do serious work!

Namely, hanging with my favorite little peeps in the Magic Kingdom.

Unfortunately my flight home was cancelled due to snow/ice storms in Raleigh so I headed to Atlanta to wait for a flight three days later.

I've spent the warmer days since my return in my garage coloring clay for my 2014 workshops. I have three week long workshops on the schedule this year ... one in Florida which is full, one in Ontario at Tony Clennell's place which is filling very fast and a third at Sugar Maples Crafts Center in the Catskills.

I prefer to bring most of the prepared clays with me so we can get down to the fun stuff right away on the first day. The coloring process is not difficult but it is definitely not the highlight of the week!

I don't know when I will get back to my experiments, but they are always perking in the back of my mind and being edited constantly. I've had some very promising results already and of course, some mis-steps and have learned from both. I know it is a very old saying but it is just so true ... I learn more from mistakes than from home runs
