This is my latest work, created for the Porcelain Show at Mudfire in Georgia. This group show will begin in August 2010. I'm enjoying combining icy smoothness and texture.

Work from 2009
The colors and patterns are the pieces, not applied decoration. Note the inside is the same as the outside.
For those interested in the technical aspects, they are hand built then dried very slowly for at least three to four weeks. I bisque fire them to Cone 08 then sand them to remove any marks.
They are then high fired to a solid Cone 8 which is about Cone 9.
Here is an example of some inclusions in my clay body.
For this piece I included crushed pieces of previously fired colored porcelain. This caused the cracks and texture on the bowl.
